Who We Are
We believe in the power of music — to express, to regulate, to connect, to be yourself.
The Music Rooms is a neurodivergent-led creative space where people come together through sound.
We’re not a clinic. We’re not a music school.
We’re something else — designed by and for neurodivergent people who want a space where they can create, explore, and connect without having to perform or mask.
This is the space we wished we’d had.
Now, we’ve built it.
Why We Exist
Many neurodivergent people have been pushed out of creative spaces, music spaces, and even social spaces.
We’re often expected to change ourselves — to mask, to “fit in,” to meet systems that weren’t built for us.
The Music Rooms flips that.
We create spaces where the environment adapts to you.
Where difference is expected, not managed.
Where communication, movement, focus, and sensory needs are all valid ways of showing up.
We exist to make music accessible — emotionally, culturally, physically, and practically.
Our Philosophy
We are proudly:
Neurodiversity-affirming
Trauma-informed
Culturally safe
Neurodivergent-led
We work from the belief that:
Music is a form of communication and self-regulation
Creativity is a human right, not a luxury
Autistic culture is valuable — and deserves space
Peer connection is powerful
You don’t need to be “typical” to participate fully
No masking. No behaviour correction. No pressure to perform.
Just authentic connection, choice, and joy.
Who Runs It
Our team is made up of neurodivergent creatives, producers, musicians, and facilitators with lived experience and industry knowledge.
We’re here not as “experts” over you
— but as fellow artists, mentors, and co-creators.
We get it, because we live it.
Our Mission
To build creative community through shared love of music
— and to offer a space where neurodivergent people can explore, express, and belong.

Our Vision
A world where neurodivergent people are celebrated, where music opens doors,
and where access means more than just entry
